Douglas Corporation’s new clubhouse at Douglas Golf Club is now open.
Finishing touches are being put to the £1.6 million facility which features a pro-shop, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and showers, a golfers’ bar and a public bar, as well as a function room with a balcony overlooking the 18th green.
In addition, an 80-space car park will be provided on the site of the former clubhouse, while drainage work on the first and second fairways, scheduled to begin in the autumn, will ensure the course is playable 12 months of the year.
