Onchan member has ongoing disputes with board
Onchan commissioner Rob Callister says a member returned unopposed just 10 days after an employment tribunal dismissed his case against the local authority should wait before taking his seat.
Former community officer Chris Quirk was sacked by the commissioners in 2014 over allegations he pulled a knife on a colleague.
Mr Quirk says he’s the subject of a whispering campaign against him, and will take his seat to serve on the authority.
But Mr Callister says there are still outstanding disputes between Mr Quirk and the board, putting it in a very difficult situation:
