Southern initiative open to everyone with 'no questions asked'
A community fridge has been launched in Port St Mary as part of efforts to reduce food wastage and help people with the cost-of-living crisis.
It follows the introduction of a similar project in Willaston; the fridges are open to anyone with ‘no questions asked’.
They’re stocked with fresh produce through an initiative with Hubbub and the Co-op which donates food to them – there are more than 600 fridges across the UK and Isle of Man.
The Southern Community Fridge is located at Toddle Inn, at the Living Hope Church and will be open between 10am and 11am on Tuesdays and 12pm and 1pm on Sundays.
