There's a new face within the Island's probation service. Lynda Watts has been appointed Community Service Officer, and will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of community service orders made by the courts.
Mrs Watts will be working with colleagues to assess an offender's suitability for this kind of sentencing, and will be a familiar sight at the High Bailiff's and Magistrate's courts each week.
She's new to the probation service - having previously worked in banking - but says that compliance and audit skills are important in her new job too:
