
Regulations have come into force giving extra protection to the Isle of Man's scallop fishermen.
From now on, restrictions will be placed on vessels which can come into Manx waters to fish for the delicacy.
The problem of fishermen coming to the Island's territorial sea from elsewhere has grown in recent years, as they have been moved out of Scottish and Welsh waters.
Tom Bryan-Brown of the Manx Fishermen's Association says it’s good news for the local fleet:
