Claire Wells takes up the role
The new leader of Douglas Council says personalities need to be put aside.
Claire Wells was elected to the role earlier this week - taking over from David Christian.
The vote, amongst the twelve current councillors, was split five/seven with fellow councillor Devon Watson.
Mrs Wells says to be effective, in its current form, the council needs to club together:
