The Isle of Man Government has confirmed the new ministers have received their warrants of appointment from the Lieutenant Governor at a ceremony at Government House earlier today.

Currently, Mr Thomas is chairing his first meeting of the new Council of Ministers.

Government says departmental memberships and appointments to statutory boards and other public bodies will be announced at a later date.

Chris Thomas, the Ard-Shirveishagh, says: 'I am pleased to have formed a team that will work together to get things done and deliver for the people of the Isle of Man. We must act to address the issues that matter to the public and ensure our Island is a place "where you can".

'I look forward to engaging with all Members of Tynwald and working collaboratively to deliver change, tackle the challenges before us and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

'My priority this week, following discussions with many Members, has been to appoint ministers for the main Government departments with a breadth of experience and backgrounds.

'As the priorities of the new administration become clearer, there is still scope to support the Council of Ministers with further appointments.'
