Minister welcomes update on plans for replacement facility
The Education Minister says the project to rebuild Castle Rushen Secondary School has now advanced further than ever before.
Southern MHKs have been pressing the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to start the building work on the site at Castletown.
A timeline published this week shows design work is due to get underway next year, with a view to completing the build of the new school in March 2029.
But Julie Edge, who says the plan to replace the existing school predates her time in the House of Keys, says substantial progress is now being made:
