Tenders will soon be able to drop off passengers in Douglas during all weather.
A £400,000 project has seen a link bridge built and installed between Circus Beach and the new cruise liner tender pontoon.
Built by Intermarine UK with the main sub-contractor being the Laxey Towing Company, it’s a joint venture between the Tourism and Transport departments to enable tenders to land passengers at all states of tide.
A covered walkway will also be installed connecting the top of the link-bridge towards the Sea Terminal.
Minor works will be carried out before the unit is fully operational.
