
Dr Parameshwaren Kishore has been appointed as the Director of Public Health after two years as Acting Director.
Dr Kishore has most recently been involved in preparing the Island for a potential outbreak of pandemic flu.
He has been on the Island for six years and previously worked for the Redbridge and Waltham Forest Health Authority as Director of Public Health, and as a consultant in Sheffield and Barking among other places.
Dr Kishore trained as a doctor in Kerala in India and has worked in the United Kingdom since 1981.
