The Department of Infrastructure says newly-discovered drainage problems in Colby will mean delays to roadworks.
Main Road in Ballabeg and Colby is currently being resurfaced, but workers have found a 250-metre stretch of culvert which is blocked and must be replaced rather than cleared.
The department says the previously undiscovered problem means resurfacing work will be postponed while investigation holes are dug and a drain design prepared.
In a statement, the department says there will be temporary traffic lights in the village, but the A7 will remain open to traffic and bus services will run as normal.
