Changes are due to come in on 1 November
New employment rights for shared parental leave and parental bereavement leave, announced last week, are welcome, but long overdue.
That's the verdict from new mum and local business operator, Sally Fenton.
The changes announced will take effect on the 1 November and mean that parents will be able to share up to 50 weeks of leave to care for a new baby in the first 12 months of the baby's life.
