Select Committee not looking to criticise
A new Tynwald Select Committee is to investigate ways in which modern financing structures can be used to fund key infrastructure schemes and major projects.
The initiative was the idea of Chris Robertshaw MHK.
Speaking on Mandate this morning, Mr Robertshaw said the idea ISN'T just to come up with a list criticisms of the current structure, but to produce a document to help forge the best way forward to finance significant schemes.
The committee made up of Mr Robertshaw, Onchan MHK Julie Edge and Middle MHK Bill Shimmins, is due to report back to Tynwald in May.
