Floodhub.im has Island flood advice, support and information
A dedicated website for flood advice, support and information across the Island, has been launched by government at the time of year where the risk is at its peak.
It's been made in response to recommendatins from the ARUP report into the 2019 flooding in Laxey.
The Department of Infrastructure took responsibility for flood risk management from Manx Utilities in October (2020).
A new Flood Management division has now been created within the department.
The website provides information on flood risks from the sea, rivers and surface water through an interactive map.
It also has a feature where people can report flooding incidents.
As well as information on high risk areas, the website also explains the responsibilities placed on land owners regarding river maintenance.
