Chief praises backbenchers
The Chief Minister says the Island’s new health and social care minister has been promoted on merit.
Howard Quayle believes North Douglas MHK David Ashford has demonstrated he's a 'capable' politician with a ‘proven track record of delivery’.
He was yesterday (Monday) appointed as successor to Kate Beecroft.
Mr Quayle says Mr Ashford is one of a number of talents on the backbenches.
