Charity's headquarters now known as MWDW Info Centre

Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch will officially open its new headquarters this morning, Saturday 28 February, at 23 Michael Street in Peel, just a short walk from its previous home.

Re-branded as the MWDW Info Centre, the charity is now located inside Cranky’s Cafe, described as a welcoming hub where visitors can enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake while learning about the Island’s marine wildlife.

The teams says the new space will enable them to focus on providing detailed information about local whales, dolphins, porpoises, and basking sharks, as well as guidance on where to spot them and updates on recent sightings.

It also means the centre will now have regular opening hours even when the MWDW team is out on fieldwork.

The official opening takes place on Saturday from 10am until 3pm and everyone is welcome to drop by and explore the centre.

Ongoing, it be open during Cafe hours:

Mon, Tues: 10-3

Weds: Closed

Thurs, Fri, Sat: 10-3

Sun: Closed
