Work has begun to replace an iconic Ramsey landmark.
The first sod was cut yesterday (Thursday), at the site of a new hotel on Mooragh promenade.
Island entrepreneur Trevor Hemmings is behind the tourist accommodation, which will take a year to complete.
It will effectively take over from the Grand Island, which is being demolished, and Mr Hemmings says it's in the perfect location:
