Chief Minister has held role on an interim basis since July
The chief minister says a new infrastructure minister will be appointed imminently.
Alfred Cannan has held the role on an interim basis since sacking Chris Thomas in July.
A report on a review into the future of the Department of Infrastructure is due to be considered by the Council of Ministers later this month.
But Mr Cannan told Manx Radio he's confident he'll have a new minister in place in the coming weeks:
