Facility is based in the former MacMillan Room in the hospital foyer
It's hoped a new information centre based at Noble's Hospital will help improve the lives of those living with eye conditions and sight loss, and their families.
The Integrated Sight Support and Resource Hub - based in the former MacMillan Room in the foyer - was officially opened this morning (20 March) by Dr Janet Gray MBE.
Dr Gray is a four-time World Disabled Water Ski Champion and a trailblazer in disability sport.
The hub represents the culmination of a project spearheaded by Manx Care's Eye Care Liaison Officer, Lesley Hankinson.
She says what makes the space so important is that it offers something they didn't have before:
The hub sees the healthcare body work in conjunction with Sight Matters to support patients in a welcoming environment.
