
Work to build a new jetty on Conister Rock gets underway this morning (Tuesday)
When it's done, small boats will again be able to tie-up at the historic home of the Tower of Refuge in Douglas Bay.
Rocks removed to make way for the jetty are being used to strengthen the causeway out to the Tower.
The Department of Transport has taken-on ownership of the landmark - after inquiries found that no one else did!
Manx Radio's Terry Cringle walked out to the rock at low tide recently - and was impressed at progress so far:
