Bespoke designs for male and female volunteer crew
Volunteers at four of the Isle of Man’s all-weather lifeboat stations have received brand new lifeboat crew kit.
The new all-weather clothing now being worn by Douglas, Ramsey, Port St Mary and Peel RNLI’s lifeboat crews is supplied by manufacturer Helly Hansen as part of their strategic partnership with the RNLI.
The waterproof but breathable outfits are lighter, more comfortable and designed to allow greater freedom of movement than the kit it's replacing.
The new outfits have been specially designed with the RNLI to ensure it meets the needs of volunteer crews, and unlike the clothing it's replacing, has bespoke designs to fit both male and female crew members.
