The Employed Person's Allowance has come into force in the Isle of Man today (Tuesday).
It replaces Family Income Supplement and Disability Working Allowance.
EPA will continue to give financial support to people on low incomes and rates of allowance will not change.
The Department of Social Care says the new benefit will be less costly to run, as it will create less bureaucracy.
