Peel Cathedral may be about to get a new entrance to its grounds, if planners give the go-ahead for the work to be carried out.
The vicar and wardens of St German’s Cathedral have applied to build a new lychgate on Derby Road in Peel.
The new gate would be in the shape of a Celtic cross with roof shaped like an upturned viking longboat, and would incorporate the town’s main bus stop, timber seating and stone steps.
