Amanda Collister topped the poll in last night's by-election
Marown's new commissioner says she is looking forward to learning from her new colleagues and seeing where she can help.
Amanda Collister was voted in last night (8 October) by Marown residents, receiving 290 votes - whilst Oksana Hargreaves received 38.
There were 331 ballots cast with 10 rejections and it marked the first contested election in the parish since 2008.
There was one spoilt ballot and 918 unused ballot papers - the local authority didn't provide a voter turnout.
Mrs Collister says she is 'absolutely over the moon' to be elected.
