Douglas has a new mayor – but a familiar face as its leader.
At a meeting this afternoon, David Ashford of Victoria Ward was named mayor, although that decision has to be ratified at a meeting next week.
David Christian has been named council leader for the next two years.
He says it'll be an important time for the local authority:
