
The Chairman of the Manx Grand Prix Riders Association is highly critical of proposals to change the format of the meeting from 2013.
The Department of Economic Development wants to re-name the event using the T.T. brand, shorten it to ten days and make classic bike racing the main feature.
John McBride says organisers seem to have only spoken to those who will agree with the move and produced misleading statistics to win support.
He says the proposed grids for races will only accommodate 50 riders and there appears to be no schedule for running postponed races.
And John McBride feels sorry for the Manx Motor Cycle Club as he thinks government is out to kick them into the long grass:-
