New minimum wage rates on the Isle of Man will come into force at the start of next month.
From 1 April the minimum wage will rise from £8.25 per hour to £9.50 per hour - the rate for those aged 16-17 will increase from £6.15 to £6.80 per hour.
The changes were approved by Tynwald in February.
Enterprise Minister Dr Alex Allinson says recent rises in energy prices, and the overall cost of living, 'have made this measure more important than ever'.
