
The newly elected MLC Phil Braidwood has thanked all those who voted for him during yesterday's election.
Mr Braidwood got through on the first round of voting with 20 votes out of a possible 24.
He's also paid tribute to his constituents who have supported him .. . and says he will still help them whenever he can.
And he admits to being taken aback at the amount of support he received in the Keys (play audio clip)
Three seats were filled yesterday, with Dudley Butt and Alex Downie being returned to their seats.
However despite a total of ten rounds of voting, one vacancy still remains.
More nominations are being sought with the closing date being April 15th.
