It follows Tynwald approval of new measures earlier this year
A significant change to the Island's laws concerning organ donation is set to come into force in a matter of weeks.
From 1 January, a system of deemed consent, whereby most adults will be considered to agree to being organ donors unless they state otherwise, will be introduced.
The change follows Tynwald's approval of measures earlier this year to bring the Island into line with the UK, Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey.
The legislation is known as 'Daniel's Law' in memory of Manx 15 year old Daniel Boyde, who passed away and became an organ donor.
Excluded groups from the new opt-out legislation include those under the age of 18; people who lack the mental capacity to understand the new arrangements and take the necessary action; visitors to the Isle of Man, and those not living here voluntarily.
