Charity boss wants support for carers
The head of Crossroads Care is calling for a turnaround in the way provision for caring at home is looked at by the Government.
Jackie Betteridge believes a lot more emphasis is needed on how best to keep people out of hospital and out of medical care, if they don't need it.
The charity's chief executive says that means altering the current medical perspective and looking instead at how best to support carers in their own homes:
