'Lester's Yard' created at Ballaughton Park
Douglas Council has invested £50,000 in a new 'adventure playground' for children between the ages of four and 17.
In partnership with local charity Isle of Play, the authority has created the new area, called 'Lester's Yard', at Ballaughton Park.
The playground is named in memory of Stuart Lester, a lecturer and 'leading figure in the field of play'.
Although a 'soft launch' has taken place this year, the new area won't be open officially until early next year.
