Builders are working on the new prison to correct defects before it opens.
Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle admitted during yesterday’s Tynwald questions that remedial work was needed before the Jurby facility opens.
He was asked by Michael MHK David Cannan to say whether or not the main contractor was at fault.
Mr Quayle, in response, said he didn’t know whose fault it was but the work was being done while the building was still under warranty.
