The three remaining places in Saturday's Cleveland Medal final at the Manx Music Festival have been decided.
Four-time winner soprano Karen Elliott, contralto Cathy Quayle and tenor Timothy Riley, who made it through on Tuesday, have been joined by baritone Simon Fletcher and mezzo soprano Olivia Black, who was delighted after qualifying for the first time (play audio file):
Simon Fletcher and Olivia Black were joined by Terry Qualtrough, twice a winner of the Cleveland Medal, who won the bass solo to book his place.
It's believed to be the first time four of the Cleveland Medal finalists have shared the same music teacher.
But, ironically, Eleanor Shimmin, a holder of three Cleveland medals herself, will be off the Island on Saturday, singing at the wedding of a former pupil in the United Kingdom.
