It's been derelict since the former St Ninian's Lower School was demolished in 2013
Plans to develop the Park Road site in central Douglas are due to be laid before Tynwald this month.
The site's been derelict since the former St Ninian's Lower School was demolished in 2013.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture now wants to build a new two-form entry primary school on the plot.
There'd be two classes per year group and could accommodate around 350 students.
The site has been earmarked as the preferred location for replacing the nearby Murray's Road and Ballaquayle sites.
Education Minister Daphne Caine says: "This project would deliver a modern, energy-efficient school that meets community needs, and aligns with the Island Plan and the Island’s net zero goals."
The costs will be prepared alongside delivering the new Castle Rushen High School, QEII STEM block and modular building at Henry Bloom Noble primary.
The proposal is due to be laid at the next sitting of Tynwald on Tuesday 17 February.
