St Ninan's Lower School at Bemahague has set the standard for the island's schools, according to Education Minister Tim Crookall.
Mr Crookall attended the grand-opening of the six year, £33.8 million project this morning (Wed) as pupils came through the doors for the first time.
He expressed his delight to see the children arriving with smiles on their faces, on what has been described as a red letter day for Manx education.
