Class 2 mobility scooter users are being urged to apply to be part of a six-month awareness training with Bus Vannin.
The transport authority is testing the experience of those with mobility issues, which includes boarding and alighting checks along route 21.
Department of Infrastructure member and Chair of the Accessibility Group Dawn Kinnish says it's a significant step forward for people with impaired mobility.
"The new service will ensure greater inclusivity and allow Bus Vannin to gather data from the user experience to help inform how services may look in the future.
"Bus Vannin is continually working towards improving accessibility and the Accessibility Steering Group welcomes comments and feedback so that future service delivery can be improved."
She added that it's vital to become more inclusive in the delivery of infrastructure and services:
