Work on replacing a sewage pumping station is underway at Mount Murray.
The project, costing £690,000, will see the demolition of the existing station and a replacement built.
The Department of Transport says the current station needs regular visits from drainage division staff to ensure it’s operating correctly.
Workers at Island Drainage and Groundworks will take until September next year to replace the station and lay a new main and sewer between Mount Murray and Newtown.
