IoM Post Office hoping to avoid service disruption
Isle of Man Post Office is to start seeking expressions of interest for the provision of counter services and/or parcel collection services in Peel.
It's as the current Sub Postmaster has announced her intention to terminate her contract for the service - triggering a six-month notice period.
The Post Office says 'it's keen to understand what interest there may be from existing or new businesses in the community' in taking over the role.
Chairman, Stu Peters MHK, says 'by starting the process now, it will allow [the post office] to adhere to the required procurement protocol and reduce the risk of any break in service for Peel residents.'
An expression of interest request will be published on the Isle of Man Government procurement portal next week.
