Art students vacating premises
Young artists and designers from University College Isle of Man (UCM) will vacate their home at the Market Hall in Douglas before the start of the new year.
It's understood UCM's Art & Design students, who moved to the venue two years ago, will return to the main college campus.
The Market Hall's new owners want to press on with renovation work before new tenants move in - and assistant principal at UCM, Jo Richardson, says they're keen to cooperate.
UCM has supported MakeMarket, the creative industries takeover of the building during the summer.
Ms Richardson says moving over the Christmas break will mean minimum disruption to the students and their work.
