Applicant describes current empty site as 'eyesore'
Plans have been put forward to develop what's described as an 'eyesore' area near Douglas Promenade.
Elliott Construction is seeking approval in principle to construct six town houses on empty land on Switzerland Road behind the Queens Hotel.
All would be four-bed properties with parking.
The design, the applicant says, would reflect a 'more modern' housing style.
In the proposals it's claimed the site is currently used by 'vandals' to dump the likes of traffic cones and other street furniture.
Those behind the plans also believe it would make use of brownfield land in the Island capital as well as offering nearby transport links.
The application is pending consideration.
