System will work in conjunction with traffic lights
New tram signals will be in place on Douglas promenade from today (13 July).
The light railway tramway crossing at Castlemona Avenue has been installed ahead of the return of the horse trams.
MyProm says the signals are similar to those used in areas like Manchester and Blackpool, but it's the first time such tram signals have been used on the Isle of Man.
The signal will work in conjunction with traffic lights.
