Ash population could suffer
A tree disease which could have a significant impact on Manx hedgerows has been confirmed here in the Island.
One case of Chalara Ash Dieback has been found near St Marks.
The symptoms are loss of leaves, crown die back and lesions in the bark.
As one tree in five in the nearby hedgerows are Ash, Senior Forester Jason Bolt says losing the trees will be noticeable in the landscape:
