The Purple Turtle has found a new home
A Manx car which has taken part in the Mongol Rally is set for a new adventure, inspiring the next generation.
Known affectionally as the Purple Turtle, the little Daihatsu was acquired by Kirsty Dencheva in exchange for a packet of smoky bacon crisps back in 2016.
After some modifications, it was declared rally ready and then travelled through 18 countries in six weeks.
Now though because of ongoing maintenance issues, it's reached the end of the road, but Kirsty says it has found a new home:
There's a farewell party for the Purple Turtle this Saturday, March 9 at the Rover's Pub in Douglas raising money for Isle of Play and Wish Upon a Dream.
