New Year’s Day dippers will take the plunge later today (Wed).
Hundreds are expected to brave the chilly waters around the Island.
There are dips in Ramsey and Castletown at 11 o’clock - the latter now in the middle harbour - in Peel, Douglas and Laxey at midday and a quartet of southern dips are also planned.
They take place in Chapel Beach, Port St Mary, at eleven thirty; in Port St Mary inner harbour at 12.15pm, Gansey Bay at one o’clock and Port Erin Bay at a quarter to two.
The dip in Douglas begins with a zumba warm-up at quarter to 12, before the plunge takes place from opposite the Palace Hotel, with a warming drink at the Queen's Hotel afterwards.
It's all in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer Isle of Man.
Carol Glover and Angie Aire from the charity say fun is the name of the game.
