Scott Wilson won a seat at the local authority's by-election
Newly elected Onchan Commissioner Scott Wilson has outlined his top priorities, focusing on community safety, environmental sustainability, and bolstering the local economy.
Dr Wilson won a strong majority in last night’s by-election, securing 447 of the 707 available votes.
Although he’ll only hold the seat for five months, he remains optimistic about putting some of his ideas into action.
Speaking to Manx Radio's Christian Jones, he recognises that personality clashes on the board are well known:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
