Enter force in November
New laws will soon come into force aimed at better protecting the Manx public and businesses on the Island from fraud.
Legislation comes into effect on November 1 to modernise the measures available to combat fraud, and bring the Island more into line with international standards.
The Fraud Act 2017 has been introduced by the Department of Home Affairs - it's also been designed to clamp down on related offences like aiding and abetting, as well as conspiracy.
Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey says the legislation will enhance the Isle of Man's reputation as global business centre, and increase confidence in the financial services industry.
