Thomas says people shouldn't be 'troubled' by it

He doesn’t believe people should be ‘troubled’ by reports it could be depleting.
Government previously announced plans to scrap the triple lock mechanism but paused the proposals following a backlash.
The system means the state pension will increase by the average earnings growth, UK CPI inflation or 2.5 percent - whichever is highest - each year.
