During Sir Norman Wisdom's funeral service at a packed St George’s Church, his son paid a moving tribute to him.
Nicholas Wisdom described his father’s devotion to his work over the decades and the delight he took in making people laugh by causing chaos.
He told the congregation the enormous crowds of well wishers came as no surprise, and that Sir Norman referred to himself as 'a lucky little devil' because of the success he had enjoyed through the years:
