Alan Cope to descend 100m down Liverpool Cathedral
A 90-year-old Ramsey man is set to abseil 100 metres down Liverpool Cathedral in a couple of months.
Alan Cope will be one of a number of people raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation by doing so.
It's a charity both he and his partner, Marion Bolam, support, having had friends and family members die from the disease.
Mr Cope says there's another reason he wants to do it, as well:
The abseil takes place on 17 August. More details about donations - including how to do so online - are due to be released soon.
