
Singing star Samantha Barks has pulled out of the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence ceremony.
The Laxey star had been due to perform at the Villa Marina this evening (Thursday), but an opportunity has arisen.
It's described as potentially 'too good to miss'.
She is being replaced by Lucie Jones, who co-stars with her in Les Miserables in London's West End.
